About Us
Our mission is to supply American Flags and holders to families of Veterans resting in community mausoleums free of charge. Please read our story.
The charity is dedicated to Robert Ruggieri. Bob was a proud Army Airborne Veteran. For 30 years he helped the scouts place thousands of flags on the graves of veterans at the local cemetery. In 2014 Bob passed away and was laid to rest in that same cemetery. Alex Pierce was one of the scouts that joined Bob each year to place American Flags. When Alex heard Bob did not have a flag on his mausoleum, he set out to invent a plastic flag holder for mausoleums. Alex holds a US Patent on his flag holder apparatus. In a ceremony directed by Retired U.S.Navy Chaplain Peter Gregory, Bob received his flag and a full Military Honor Guard that he did not have on the snowy November day in 2014 when he was first laid to rest.
Thousands of the Ruggieri Flag Holders have been produced and distributed by the Robert Ruggieri Foundation, an IRS 501 (C)(3) non profit corporation.
You can have a flag and flag holder for your loved one free of charge. Just submit the name of your veteran and your name and address at the bottom of the website, click submit and we will send a flag and flag holder to you. If you are a cemetery or an Archdiocese and want to make a bulk purchase, we ask for $1 dollar per flag and holder set. These are offered at our cost. A set of 50 is $50 dollars. Just enter your request with the name of your entity and address at the bottom and click submit. If you want a sample first, let us know.

No salaries here. We are all volunteer. Your contribution goes to purchasing flag holders from our manufacturer, flags from our supplier and postage costs. We send flags and holders all around the United States at no cost to the families. Postage is our major cost. We are an approved IRS 501(C) 3 so your donation is tax deductible.
